FLIGHT MAP
Build your bag. Command the seas.

how to use the map
Follow these steps to put the map to work:

1
Begin with the slot you seek.
Are you searching for reliability in a storm? A gentle turn through the trees? Power into a headwind? Or simply a true, honest flight?
2
Find the speed that suits your skill.
A wise captain does not reach for a cannon when a dagger will do. Lower-speed discs control, higher-speed discs conquer.
3
Choose the stability your line demands.
The course is a sea full of tides - some push, some pull, some swallow the unprepared. Lean on the map to see how each slot behaves.
speed and stability
The Flight Map organizes discs by speed and net stability into clearly defined slots. Each slot represents a specific net flight - so you always know what role a disc will play in your bag, regardless of manufacturer.

The Measure of the Ship
SPEED
Along the vertical line you'll find the measure of swiftness. Lower speeds belong to tools of finesse and touch. Higher speeds serve those who command the open sea, cutting great distances with force and daring.
Choose not by pride, but by purpose:

The Pull of the Current
stability
Along the horizontal line flows the invisible current. To the left side of the map, discs that fight the waves and finish with authority. To the right, those that drift and dance - bending their path, carried by the pull of the open sea."

SLOTS
The seas have been charted into 21 distinct slots. Each slot bears a name, each name bears a tale and is paired with a design of its own. While speeds measures the vessel and stability measures the current - the slot reveals a disc's destiny.
Different brands make discs with different molds and names but with similar flight numbers so that they often fly the same. The Flight Map brings them together into one system, so you can compare and choose without confusion.
As we continue to grow, we plan to offer multiple discs within each slot. So if you are looking for a neutral midrange, you'll be able to find the Booty and get that design on a Discraft Buzzz, Axiom Hex, Innova Mako3, etc.
No matter the maker of the vessel - Innova, Discraft, MVP, or any who craft fine discs - their molds fall into the 21 slots based on speed and stability. This allows you to build your bag across brands, yet keep your identity whole - a captain of a single banner: the Black Flag.
