Black Flag Discs organizes discs from multiple manufacturers into a single, unified system based on how they fly.
Instead of choosing between brands and confusing naming conventions, you can build your bag by slot - selecting discs based on their role, feel, and design.
We create custom stamp designs, allowing you to build a cohesive, themed bag across different manufacturers - as most amateur players love and throw discs from multiple brands.
We don't make discs. We chart them - so you can choose your tools and play with purpose.
The flight map is our system for organizing discs by speed and stability into clearly defined slots. We keep our designs restricted to one slot. This way you know every disc with that design will fly about the same.
Many people like to fill slots for their bag so they have a disc for every type of shot they might need to throw on the course. By categorizing every disc into a slot it makes it easier to build a complete bag with purpose.
A slot represents a specific flight type based on speed and stability.
Each slot is designed to fill a distinct role in your bag, so you always know what to expect from a disc in that position.
We keep our designs restricted to one slot. This way you know every disc with that design will fly about the same.
Not exactly - but they are very similar. Discs in the same slot are chosen because they have similar flight numbers and therefore should perform similarly.
As we continue to grow, we would like to offer many different discs from multiple manufacturers for each slot. This way you can choose your favorite disc mold - for example - for the "BOOTY" slot (stable/neutral midrange), whether that be the Discraft Buzzz, Axiom Hex, Innova Mako3, etc.
No. We keep our designs restricted to one slot. We do this so you know every disc with that design will fly about the same. You will not - for example - be able to get the "RUM" stamp design on a midrange or an understable distance driver.
The plastics chart is our system for organizing the different plastic types used across manufacturers into a single, consistent set of names.
Instead of needing to know that Champion, Z, Proton, Opto, Lucid, etc. all refer to similar translucent plastics, we group them under one category: Sea.
This makes it easier to understand how a disc will feel and perform, and allows you to shop and compare discs without needing to learn each manufacturer's naming system.
